How to Sew Collars -Closed -Closed

This class introduces the student to a variety of collars, such as convertible, tailored, mandarin and Peter Pan. It is recommended that the student be familiar with the basics of garment sewing upon entering class.

PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT FOR CLASS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE FIRST CLASS. CLASS IS LIMITED TO 4 STUDENTS, SO ENROLL NOW! CALL (812) 471-7945.

Cost is $35.

Students will focus on the preparation and creation of a tailored collar. All supplies will be provided.

Our normal business hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Note: Our store is a FRAGRANCE-FREE ZONE. Please be courteous of other students and staff when attending class and do not use fragrances.

Men’s Shirting -Closed -Closed

Mens-Shirting

March 10 – 31, 2018 from 10am-1pm

Men’s Shirting is an elevated notch from the garment made in the recommended prerequisite class, “Beginning Garment Sewing”. Students will learn the advanced skills needed to create a long-sleeved, button-down shirt for a man. This four-part series will extend your shirt sewing skills to include tailored collars, yoke installation, and adding cuffs.

PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT FOR THE 4-WEEK SERIES MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO THE FIRST CLASS. CLASS IS LIMITED TO 4 STUDENTS, SO ENROLL NOW! CALL (812) 471-7945.

This class is $120 for all four sessions. The fabric is not included and must be purchased and washed before class. A 20% discount is extended to students on each day of class and prior to class for class materials.

Spots are limited, so call or stop in to register soon!

Intro to Sewing -Closed

TIME: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Interested in learning (or re-learning) how to sew? Join us in our Intro to Sewing class to learn the basics of sewing.

This class will go over getting comfortable at a sewing machine – it’s not as scary as it looks, we promise! – basic stitches and seams. You’ll also learn correct pressing and pinning techniques.

Kits are provided, which means everything you’ll need to create a skirt apron (pictured above) will be here waiting for you when you show up for class. Our sewing classroom is stocked with Baby Lock sewing machines, cutting mats, rotary cutters and irons to make this intro course fun and easy.

Why create a skirt apron?

We chose this project because the gingham (checkered) fabric gives you built-in guidelines in which to sew a straight seam. The apron project uses simple sewing techniques that you’ll be able to use and will build on for future projects.

How to Sign Up

Sign up by calling the store or by registering in-store. Intro to Sewing fills up quickly, so in order to guarantee your spot we require payment at the time of registration.

Open Sew is every other Thursday morning at Let’s Sew, from 9 a.m. to noon. We’ll be happy to help you with small questions or give guidance on your project during Open Sew.
For more in-depth help, private lessons are also available.

We have sewing machines in our classroom but they are limited, so please call ahead to reserve your spot for Open Sew. Or you may bring your own machine. Please either call or visit the store from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Central Time, Tues-Sat) to ask questions or sign up.

Cost is $25 per person.
